A multicultural programme of musical events that will appear in different places in Pafos with songs and narratives, melodies and dances from ensembles from Greece, France and Spain and the Balkans.
Connecting East and West, bridging people and cultures through open spaces, Pafos2017 has created the programme The Travelling Stage, which takes off this summer and culminates in 2017 with hundreds of events in every square and space of the Open Air Factory.
The Stage that travels retains its symbolic and semantic meaning, is also a tool for transporting and presenting events at conventional and unexpected places. Aiming to reach a mass audience as well as artists the stage travels within dimensions of time and space, creating bridges, foundations and structures through partnerships and synergies.
This Stage will travel to various locations within the city, the outskirts and communities of the Pafos region, presenting musical and other joint artistic events from all over the world.
On the way to 2017 THE TRAVELLING STAGE will become a platform for cultural exchange, a venue for dialogue and entertainment and a framework for educational programmes and other cultural events.
