On Friday 24th February 2017, within the frame of the programme “Schools in Actions” of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017, 38 Primary and Nursery schools from Pafos participated at an environmental action, planting at 30 spots in the city and the region of Pafos.
The programme “Schools in Action” is part of the general programme of the European Capital of Culture Pafo2017, aiming at the participation and involvement of children from the Primary and Secondary Education in this European institution through actions and activities.
The goal of this particular activity was to raise awareness on the environment as well as to develop the green areas in the city. The “Schools in Action” programme will continue with more activities, including environmental ones with planting in parks and the creation of sculptures by recycled materials.
