RIMINI PROTOKOLL: Pafos2017 welcomes one of the most influential theatre groups in Europe
REMOTE PAFOS – RIMINI PROTOKOLL
Pafos2017 welcomes one of the most influential theatre groups in Europe
Departure: Fabrica’s Cave 17:00
27 September 2017 – 4 October 2017
The European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 presents a unique journey through the heart of the city, created by the theatre group Rimini Protokoll from Germany especially for the city of Pafos.
Rimini Protokoll’s idea of the “Remote X” journey comes to life in different European cities, inviting the public to live their city using modern technology and offering a unique experience. This journey/outing is organized in groups of 50 participants, who are guided through their headphones by a synthetic voice, as we know it from GPS navigators. The encounter with this artificial intelligence leads the group to perform an experiment on themselves. How are joint decisions made? Who do we follow when we are guided by algorithms?
Rimini Protokoll
Rimini Protokoll is considered one of the most important, pioneering and influential theatre groups in Europe in recent years. The group consists of Helgard Haug, Stefan Kaegi και Daniel Wetzel, who have been working together since 2002, constantly developing new theatrical forms and methods.
