Open call to writers
The action “Letters to the Others” of the European Capital of Culture – PAFOS2017 aims to develop written communication, through correspondence between writers from various European Capitals of Cultures who will have an interpersonal contact and establish substantial human relations.
Writers from Pafos invite colleagues from other European cities to an exchange of correspondence. The letters between authors go beyond “a get to know of the other’s work and city” but it revives the correspondence as a form of literature. An exchange platform where writers from different countries will be invited to Pafos in 2017 to present with their partner –author’s country, history and culture.
Good knowledge of English is required as it will be the working language between the selected writers.
Writers willing to participate in this programme are invited to express their interest by sending an e-mail to [email protected], with subject “Letters to the Others” until the 15/05/2016, with the following attachments:
- Brief curriculum.
- List of editions or publications of recent years (ISBN number and publishing house).
The applications will be evaluated by a committee of the European Capital of Culture – PAFOS2017, composed by important in this field personalities and the participants will be announced on the organisation’s website www.pafos2017.info on the 15/06/2016.
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
